City of Hope in Duarte, CA is seeking a Clinical Nurse – Rapid Response to join our oncology care team. This full-time night shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) role emphasizes continuous, high-quality patient care and requires flexibility and teamwork.

You will integrate the nursing process, coordinate interdisciplinary plans, and document outcomes while advancing professional development within City of Hope's Division of Nursing and Patient Care Services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
  • CA RN License (required)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (required)
  • 3-5 years nursing experience (required)
  • ICU/Critical Care experience preferred
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy or Immunotherapy certificate required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care for oncology patients.
  • Follow the nursing process and coordinate interdisciplinary care plans, documenting outcomes.
  • Act as a change agent, pursuing lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Work 7pm–7:30am nights as a full-time role.
  • Operate within City of Hope Division of Nursing and Patient Care Services.

The Clinical Nurse is a vital part of the healthcare team, dedicated to maintaining continuous and high-quality patient care. This position requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and patient populations. As a Rapid Response nurse you will play a crucial role in providing high quality patient care to critically ill oncology patients.
As a successful candidate, you will:
  • Integrates and practices according to the City of Hope Professional Practice Model to deliver care service excellence.
  • In alignment with City of Hope mission and values, the Division of Nursing and Patient Care Services vision and mission, and with continuous focus on the patient, family and community, carries out the nursing process, coordinates interdisciplinary care planning, documents according to standards, including validation of the patient and caregiver’s understanding of the plan of care and expected outcomes.
  • The nurse is a change agent, committed to lifelong learning, professional development and embodiment of City of Hope organizational mission and values, and the values and ethos of the profession of nursing.
  • Must be able to work 7pm - 7:30am - Nights

Your qualifications should include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Current CA RN License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS through American Heart Association
  • ICU/Critical Care experience preferred
  • Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy Certificate or Chemotherapy/ Immunotherapy Certificate (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
