Job summary

City of Hope in Duarte, CA seeks a dedicated registered nurse to join the Evaluation Treatment Center, providing high-quality care in outpatient and acute settings.

This full-time, night-shift role offers 12-hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three days per week, with emphasis on chemotherapy/biotherapy care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• BNursing degree and California RN license required.
• 5 years experience in acute or outpatient care.
• Chemotherapy/ immunotherapy certificates required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• CA RN license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in outpatient urgent care and evaluation setting.
• Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Follow the City of Hope Nursing Practice Model and document the nursing process and care plan.
• Support 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm–7:30am), 3 days per week.
• Document care and outcomes according to standards and patient/caregiver understanding.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

CA RN License

Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy Certificate (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)

Chemotherapy/ Immunotherapy Certificate (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)

City of Hope is seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse to join our Evaluation Treatment Center team.As a nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, monitor patients conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient in our outpatient urgent care.

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Integrates and practices according to the City of Hope Professional Practice Model to deliver care service excellence.
• In alignment with City of Hope mission and values, the Division of Nursing and Patient Care Services vision and mission, and with continuous focus on the patient, family and community, carries out the nursing process, coordinates interdisciplinary care planning, documents according to standards, including validation of the patient and caregiver’s understanding of the plan of care and expected outcomes.
• The nurse is a change agent, committed to lifelong learning, professional development and embodiment of City of Hope organizational mission and values, and the values and ethos of the profession of nursing.
• Hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am Nights
• Full time 12 hour shift / 3 days a week

Your qualifications should include:

• -5 years experience in an acute care setting and/or outpatient setting
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy Certificate or Chemotherapy/ Immunotherapy Certificate (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• CA RN License
• BLS through American Heart Association
• ACLS through American Heart Association
• PALS through American Heart Association
