Job summary

City of Hope in Duarte, California, seeks a Rapid Response Clinical Nurse to deliver high-quality care to critically ill oncology patients. The role requires 7:00 am–7:30 pm shifts and full-time hours, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-family communication.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Nursing, CA RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with ICU/critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ICU/Critical Care experience preferred and desirable for rapid response care.
• Current CA RN License is required.
• Must obtain Chemotherapy/ Immunotherapy Certificate within 6 months of hire.

The Clinical Nurse is a vital part of the healthcare team, dedicated to maintaining continuous and high-quality patient care. As a Rapid Response nurse you will play a crucial role in providing high quality patient care to critically ill oncology patients.

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Integrates and practices according to the City of Hope Professional Practice Model to deliver care service excellence.
• In alignment with City of Hope mission and values, the Division of Nursing and Patient Care Services vision and mission, and with continuous focus on the patient, family and community, carries out the nursing process, coordinates interdisciplinary care planning, documents according to standards, including validation of the patient and caregiver’s understanding of the plan of care and expected outcomes.

Your qualifications should include:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• 3-5 years experience
• Current CA RN License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS through American Heart Association
• ICU/Critical Care experience preferred
• Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy Certificate or Chemotherapy/ Immunotherapy Certificate (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
