Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Phlebotomist (Job Code: 6145) in San Antonio, TX. This contract role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, for about 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

The position includes responsibilities such as blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, and data maintenance, with OSHA compliance and training expectations. Minimum qualifications include a state phlebotomy certification and 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of oncology diagnostic phlebotomy experience required.
• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explains venipuncture process clearly.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and temperature control.
