Job summary

Carle Health seeks an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients within the Carle Cancer Center. You will support specialty care across Urology, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, Research, and Expanded Care, providing clinical expertise and contributing to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include MTM, dosing recommendations, chemotherapy preparation, and collaboration with hematology/oncology teams during rounds and in clinical trials.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist - IDFPR
• Bachelor‘s Degree: Pharmacy (Required)
• Work Experience: Clinical

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Intervene to improve prescribing and monitoring practices within the facility.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM): Provide MTM services and patient education per Illinois Pharmacy Practice Act.
• Dosing Recommendations: Determine optimal doses based on age, weight, and organ function.
• Collaborate with hematology/oncology and inpatient pharmacy teams (inpatient and outpatient).
• Prepare investigational and standard of care medications for clinical trials.
• Attend rounds and provide pharmacy services in hematology/oncology oncologic care.
• Support transitions of care and precept students and residents.
