Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care for oncology patients within the Carle Cancer Center. You will serve as a clinical expert supporting specialty care across Urology, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, Research, and Expanded Care.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, MTM, dosing, and collaboration with hematology/oncology teams, including participation in rounds and clinical trials. A hospital/clinical pharmacy background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with IDFPR certification or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Clinical work experience in hospital or specialty setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: intervene to improve prescribing, administration, and monitoring practices.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM): provide MTM services and patient education.
• Dosing Recommendations: determine optimal doses based on age, weight, and organ function.
• Collaborate with hematology/oncology and inpatient pharmacy teams (inpatient and outpatient).
• Prepare investigational and standard-of-care medications for clinical trials.
