Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director for US Oncology Payer Market Access to shape payer strategies for oncology medicines. You will collaborate with brand teams, access and reimbursement colleagues, CORE, policy, pricing, and external partners to ensure patient access and business growth.

The role supports current indications and future launches, with hybrid work options (Upper Gwynedd, PA) or remote work available, reporting to Oncology Market Access leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years combined experience in Pharmaceutical Marketing, Marketing Customer Management, Managed Care or Sales.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, analytical critical thinking and planning skills.
• Proactive nature and ability to manage change, anticipate risks, and design controls or mitigation
• Excellent leadership and communication skills (written & verbal).
• Proficient at leading across department and roles and effectively engaging senior management.
• Strong judgment, prioritization, and decision-making skills, with understanding of broader context of corporate strategies
• Comfort and confidence in working with teams and backgrounds; routinely demonstrates inclusive behaviors; actively seeks out perspectives and experiences
• Demonstrated understanding of healthcare trends and policy issues around both pharmacy and medical benefits and their potential impact upon the company's business opportunities.

Responsibilities
