Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director, US Oncology Payer Market Access to lead payer strategy and collaboration with alliance partners and internal teams. You will shape access for current indications and future launches, supporting pricing, discounts, and value messaging for payers and providers.

The role requires 5+ years in pharma marketing or managed care, strong strategic thinking, and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years combined experience in Pharmaceutical Marketing, Marketing Customer Management, Managed Care or Sales.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, analytical thinking and planning skills.
• Proactive, able to manage change, anticipate risks and design controls.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills (written & verbal).
• Proficient at leading across departments and engaging senior management.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer specific strategies with alliance partners and internal teams to achieve access and business growth.
• Support development of payer/market access strategies across partnerships for current and future indications.
• Input into development of payer value propositions and branded promotional initiatives.
• Manage messaging and communications for field facing teams.
• Provide input from US perspective to Global Access Teams and Health Economics groups.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to build value propositions for access and reimbursement.
• Support alliance and new product forecasting discussions as needed.
• Understand patient costs and out-of-pocket impacts for therapies.
