Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director, US Oncology Payer Market Access to drive payer strategies and access for oncology medicines in the US. You will partner with brand teams, alliance partners and internal functions to shape value messaging and evidence generation.

You will influence policy, contracting, and lifecycle management while guiding field-facing communications and forecasting with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
• MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years combined experience in Pharmaceutical Marketing, Marketing Customer Management, Managed Care or Sales.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with alliance partners, internal functions and external agency partners to develop customer specific strategies and execute to achieve access for patients and business growth.
• Collaborate with internal teams and alliance partners to support development of comprehensive payer/market access strategies across partnerships and for oncology medicines.
• Input into development and execution of payer value propositions, channel specific strategies and branded promotional initiatives.
• Act as main point responsible for resource support, ongoing planning around messaging, and communications for field facing teams.
• Provide input from US perspective into Global Access Teams, new product planning teams, Health Economics and Outcomes Research and business development opportunities.
• Work cross-functionally to understand and build a value proposition for collaboration oncology medicines that ensure access and reimbursement aligned with label.
• Support alliance and new product forecasting discussions as necessary.
• Understand impact of costs on patients including out-of-pocket costs for mono and combo therapies in pharmacy and medical benefits.
