Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare access center.
• Experience with scheduling and registering patients.
• Ability to manage a high volume of calls in a busy setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Proficient in EMR systems and scheduling workflows.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments accurately using scheduling programs tailored to Oncology.
• Collaborate with staff to confirm facility/provider availability and secure pre-authorizations.
• Communicate pre-procedure instructions and confirm appointments with patients/families.
• Accurately intake demographics, insurance details, and pre-authorizations for all visits.
