MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking a friendly Patient Services Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients. You will greet patients, manage front desk operations, schedule appointments, and support registration and billing in a busy clinic.

You will use EMR and scheduling software, verify insurance, obtain authorizations when needed, and assist with co-pays. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Medical office or healthcare registration experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification processes.
• Able to thrive in a busy, patient-facing environment with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and manage front-desk operations with professionalism.
• Register patients and schedule appointments using the EMR/scheduling software.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations when needed.
• Process co-pays and direct patients to financial counseling if appropriate.
• Maintain accurate patient and billing records and respond to inquiries.
