Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Oncology Patient Financial Advocate to oversee oncology patient financial concerns, including insurance and Medicare issues, pre-certifications, and charity care. The role aims to reduce uncompensated care and reports to the Sr. Manager with the Kellogg Cancer Care Centers.

You will work with a team to ensure accurate billing, apply policy knowledge, and improve financial outcomes for patients across the Oncology division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or ten years of applicable experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in patient care setting with expert knowledge of billing and insurance, oncology preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in patient insurance and billing.
• Experience in charity care negotiations and pharmaceutical program know-how.
• Ability to develop patient payment plans and manage billing issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage oncology patient financial concerns including insurance denials and appeals.
• Handle pre-certifications, charity care, ABNs, and pharmaceutical programs.
• Coordinate and improve uncompensated care reduction plans.
• Verify insurance coverage for new patients and identify charity care needs.
• Apply policies and procedures relevant to the job and area.
• Design and manage ABN processes and coding/compliance issues.
