Endeavor Health's Oncology Patient Financial Advocate at Highland Park Hospital oversees patient financial concerns, including insurance denials, Medicare appeals, pre-certifications, charity care, ABN programs, and other billing issues.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Patient Registration and Kellogg Cancer Care Centers management, the role aims to reduce uncompensated care while ensuring compliant, compassionate financial guidance for oncology patients.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or ten years of applicable experience, required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in patient care setting with expert knowledge of billing and insurance, particularly in Oncology.
• Skills: Demonstrated expertise in patient insurance and billing; charity care negotiations; patient payment plan development; MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Access/PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Knowledge and application of Endeavor policies and procedures that apply to job and area of responsibility.
• Pre-certification Process Design and Management
• Coding Compliance and billing issues
• Coordinate ABN process
• Verifies new patients' insurance coverage and identifies patients requiring Charity Care
• Medication assistance and reimbursement
• Design and implement plans for uncompensated care reduction
