Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Liaison (Medical Oncology) for a full-time, on-site role. You will manage scheduling, coordinate patient care options, and support billing and data collection to improve department efficiency.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2 years of healthcare experience, and customer service background. Preferred: EMR experience and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedules to optimize resources including providers, rooms and equipment.
• Coordinate care options for patients affected by changes.
• Communicate with patients and clinical staff to ensure treatment plan adherence.
• Assist Practice Manager with data collection and analysis related to physician productivity.
• Help resolve billing errors and obtain pre-certifications or referrals as needed.
• Register patients and schedule appointments.
• Provide patient education materials as needed.
• Maintain relationships with patients, staff and providers.
• Answer inquiries related to practice operations.
• Follow up to ensure testing and prescriptions adherence.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
