Qualifications

• One year experience in hospital admissions or scheduling preferred.
• Ability to concentrate in a busy and distracting office.
• Keyboarding at 45 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of incoming calls promptly and courteously.
• Schedule appointments for multiple offices efficiently.
• Pre-register patients in a timely manner.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Proper grammar and diction

Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Knowledge of Medicare and Public Aid

Ability to prioritize and organize tasks

Education

High School graduate; prefer two or more years of health related college course work
