• Licenses and Credentials Basic Life Support [BLS] - Generic - HR Only preferred; Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only preferred; Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only preferred; Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred
• Experience Experience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. - Knowledge of medical terminology. - Strong patient/customer service skills. - Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. - Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including point of care, vital signs, EKGs, bathing and sanitary needs, transferring and assisting with ambulation, 1:1 observation for safety, and phlebotomy.
• Completes documentation such as height, weight, intake, output, and blood glucose results in the EHR.
• Assists with admitting and discharging patients.
• Interacts with patients, visitors, and care team members effectively; communicates with nursing staff in a timely manner.
