PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Oncology for a Per Diem/Relief, Day position. The role supports scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification, acting as a clinical liaison with physician practices.

Responsibilities include pre-registration, payment collection, coverage verification, prior authorization, and managing daily schedules. Strong customer service and MS Office skills preferred; 1 year experience in medical office or related field is required.

Formación

• Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and regulations.
• Must manage conflict professionally (required).
• Excellent time management with deadline focus (required).
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills (required).

Responsabilidades

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payments.
• Verifies coverage and ensures all insurance requirements are met; obtains prior authorization/referrals.
• Responds to customer inquiries.
• Assists with departmental coverage as needed.
• Manages daily appointment schedules and reminder calls; handles referrals.
• May transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
