Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in common office software and typing.
• Experience with patient financial services or insurance processes preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and payer authorizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and input demographics into EHR.
• Verify patient insurance and benefits; obtain authorizations.
• Provide financial counseling and discuss patient liabilities.
• Explain estimated costs and set up payment plans or financial assistance as needed.
• Support various patient services and learn new tasks as needed.
