The Lead acts as liaison, oversees onboarding, provides audits and reports to leadership, and participates in on-call rotation to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare/medical office environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including email, face‑to‑face patient and co‑worker interactions as well as professional phone skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • General knowledge of patient accounts.
  • Knowledge of registration requirements.
  • Working knowledge of billing/insurance requirements.
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements including: pre‑certification, insurance verification, pre-registration and scheduling.
  • Ability to interact well with all types of customers.
  • Ability to develop and implement new processes.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of Patient Access in oncology North care area.
  • Onboard new hires, develop training materials and provide staff audits.
  • Provide statistical data to leadership and act as liaison for team members and supervisors.
  • Serve as first point of contact for process and procedural concerns.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation within the department.
