Job summary

Inova Health Center - Woodbridge is seeking an Oncology New Patient Coordinator for a full-time hybrid role, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The position supports the Cancer Center by coordinating new patient intake, appointment scheduling, and data collection.

You will serve as the first contact for oncology patients, ensuring seamless access to the multidisciplinary care team. responsibilities include detailed data gathering, coordinating tests and visits, and maintaining

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience is required or 2 years of relevant work experience.
3 years of customer service/office experience.
Certification in Healthcare Access within 1 year of employment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Enter new patient information into Epic accurately (intake date, demographics, insurance).
Serve as first point of contact for Oncology patients and coordinate access for all appointments.
Schedule new patient visits with the care team using EMR/scheduling systems.
Gather detailed patient information from multiple facilities before appointments.
Coordinate diagnostics, procedures, and physician visits; perform additional duties as assigned.
