Job summary

Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist–Educator, Oncology to lead nursing education across the Cancer Service Line, focusing on orientation, onboarding, competency, and professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
Current Registered Nurse license in Washington is required.
Master’s degree in Nursing or related field is preferred.
Oncology Clinical Specialty certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and evaluate orientation and onboarding programs for oncology units.
Develop, implement, and evaluate competency assessment programs for assigned units.
Deliver education on oncology clinical care, workflows, equipment, documentation, and patient management.
Disseminate research findings and promote evidence‑based practice in oncology nursing.
Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives related to nursing education and practice.
Partner with leaders to support professional role development and curricula revision.
Model professionalism and advance Cancer Service Line education and accreditation efforts.
