Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital is hosting a Residency RN - Transition to Practice Program designed for new graduate RNs or experienced RNs transitioning to hospital roles or new specialties. The program blends classroom instruction with clinical hours under expert preceptors to grow competence, autonomy, and purpose in patient care.

You'll learn through a combination of hands-on practice and mentorship, supporting your education and clinical skill development in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Washington state or MLS endorsement.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP within 90 days as needed.
• TNCC, LNPC, PEARS within 1 year as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Learn to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate, and delegate nursing functions across the lifespan.
• Use the nursing process for care and health teaching to promote wellness.
• Function interdependently when executing a medical regimen under physician direction.
• Collaborate to improve quality of care, patient experience, and reduce costs.
