Job summary

MultiCare Health System is offering a Residency RN - Transition to Practice Program in Tacoma, WA. This option targets new graduate RNs or seasoned RNs transitioning to hospital or new specialties, with a mix of classroom instruction and clinical hours under expert preceptors.

You'll develop dynamic nursing practice with competence, autonomy and purpose, advancing skills and patient care. The schedule is 0.9 FTE with 12/40 shifts and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or obtained within five years from hire date.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or MLS.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP within specified timeframes.
• TNCC/LNPC/PEARS within one year as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Learn to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate nursing functions across populations.
• Utilize the nursing process for care and health teaching.
• Collaborate with physicians to execute medical regimens.
• Contribute to quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction.
