Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health in Livingston, NJ seeks a Nurse Practitioner for the CBMC Medical Oncology department. This full-time, day-shift position offers a salary range of $125,000 to $195,000 per year and reports to the CBMC Medical Oncology department within Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
Essential duties include comprehensive health assessments, creating and implementing care plans with a multidisciplinary team, and managing medications per protocol.
Qualifications
- APSHO Cancer Therapy Prescribing Course Certificate OR AOCNP Certification required to prescribe chemotherapy biotherapy
Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive initial and episodic health assessments in order to identify existing or potential health problems
- Initiates and implements individualized nursing and medical plan of care in collaboration with members of multidisciplinary team
- Initiates appropriate diagnostic, therapeutic, medical and nursing actions in conjunction with physicians
- Provides follow up care including, acute and routine examinations
- Assesses progress, identify problems, initiate preventive measures, recognizes emergent problems and initiates proper care in collaboration with physicians
- Monitors and adjusts patients medication according to protocol or medical plan of care including adequate pain control
