RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a part-time registered nurse for the Morris Cancer Center unit (Oncology Unit MCC-9) in New Brunswick, NJ. The role involves day shifts, patient assessments, administration of medications, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must hold an active NJ RN license, BLS, and preferably ACLS; BSN is strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years. EPIC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification preferred or to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• 1 year of acute care RN experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to plan care.
• Provide clear education to patients and families.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and coordinate transitions of care.
• Support ongoing professional growth and quality improvement initiatives.
