Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a registered nurse for the Colony Plaza Oncology unit in Jersey City. The role focuses on inpatient and outpatient oncology care, delivering evidence-based medications, and supporting patients through active treatment pathways.

The ideal candidate has NJ RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, oncology experience, and a commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care. The position is a full-time day shift with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BSN preferred; oncology or outpatient oncology experience desired.
• Current BLS and ACLS within 6 months of hire; ONS/ONC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to support timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to prepare for the next phase of care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to enhance communication and transitions of care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and pursue ongoing professional development.
