Job summary

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Navigator at the Mercy South Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO.

You will guide oncology patients through their cancer journey, coordinating care from diagnosis through survivorship, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, high-quality care. The role emphasizes education, barrier removal, and exceptional patient experience, with a focus on advocacy and support for patients and families throughout

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• 2-3 years of nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and navigate care for oncology patients across diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and follow-up.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, and side effects.
• Facilitate communication among patients, providers, infusion services, imaging, and support teams.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist with referrals, scheduling, and transitions of care.
• Maintain timely documentation in EPIC and other clinical systems.
