Job summary

Mercy South Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Navigator to guide oncology patients and families through their cancer journey. You will coordinate care, provide education, and remove barriers to treatment.

Working with oncologists, infusion services, and other teams, you will ensure timely, coordinated, high-quality care while delivering an exceptional patient experience throughout diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• 2-3 years of nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and navigate care for oncology patients throughout diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and survivorship.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, side effects, and available resources.
• Facilitate communication between patients, providers, infusion services, imaging, and other teams.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
