Job summary

Mercy South Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse Navigator with oncology expertise to guide patients and families through the cancer journey.

You will coordinate care, educate on treatments, manage referrals, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure timely, high-quality care. The RN Navigator will support diagnosis to survivorship, working with oncologists, infusion, imaging, social workers, and other care teams while

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of practice (MO).
• 2–3 years of nursing experience.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and navigate oncology care across diagnosis, treatment, survivorship.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, meds, procedures, side effects, resources.
• Facilitate communication among patients, providers, infusion, imaging, and support teams.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans with the care team.
• Assist with referrals, scheduling, transitions of care, and coordination.
• Monitor progress and address barriers to care proactively.
• Provide emotional support and connect to community resources and financial assistance.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and other systems.
• Track outcomes and quality metrics to support evidence-based practice.
• Serve as a clinical resource for patients, families, and staff throughout cancer care.
