Job summary

Mercy South Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Navigator to guide oncology patients and families through their cancer journey. You will coordinate care, educate patients, and help overcome barriers, collaborating with oncologists, infusion, imaging, social work, and other team members.

This full-time role requires 2–3 years nursing experience, BLS, and an RN license. BSN and OCN are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• 2–3 years of nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and navigate oncology care across diagnosis to survivorship.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, meds, procedures, and side effects.
• Facilitate communication among patients, providers, infusion, imaging, and support teams.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with referrals, appointment coordination, treatment scheduling, and transitions of care.
• Monitor progress and address barriers to care; provide emotional support and connect to resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and other clinical systems.
• Track outcomes and quality metrics to support evidence-based practice.
