Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA, is seeking an experienced RN to join the oncology clinic team. You will provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process and serve as the primary contact for oncology patients and families.

You will educate patients about cancer care, diagnostic procedures, and chemotherapy, and ensure the continuum of care from pre-procedure through discharge, in collaboration with the medical staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CA RN license and BLS certification.
• Minimum 6 months oncology RN experience or 1 year clinical cancer basics completion.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• External candidates must have a BSN.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in the clinic.
• Act as the primary contact for oncology patients and families.
• Educate patients on cancer care, diagnostics, medications, and chemotherapy.
• Ensure continuity of care from pre-procedure to discharge and follow-up.
• Support the physician team and contribute to ongoing practice growth.
