Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA, is seeking an Oncology Clinic RN to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will be the primary contact for oncology patients, delivering education on cancer care, diagnostics, chemotherapy and care plans.

You will collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless pre-procedure, treatment, hospitalization and post-discharge follow-up, while upholding patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Minimum 6 months inpatient or outpatient oncology nursing experience OR 1 year clinical oncology exposure.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to apply the nursing process in clinic settings and coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the oncology clinic using the nursing process.
• Serve as primary contact for oncology patients and educate patients and families on cancer care and procedures.
• Support care coordination across pre-procedure, chemotherapy protocols, hospitalization and follow-up visits.
• Assist with clinic operations and patient education.
