Job summary

AbbVie Oncology is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Educator to lead education for healthcare professionals involved in patient management of hematologic and solid tumor cancers. This field-based role requires clinical expertise, strategic education planning, and collaboration across cross-functional teams in the US.

The successful candidate will educate on dosing, administration, adverse events, and disease states, while supporting internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, NP, PA or PharmD; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current active Health Care Provider license.
• 7+ years clinical oncology/hematology experience; recent Hematology experience preferred.
• Experience in academic and/or community oncology with Hematology/Oncology patients.
• Excellent communication, objective setting, influencing and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic education leader across oncology accounts with approved resources.
• Develop customized educational plans from account dynamics and clinical insights.
• Educate on patient identification and role of therapies for hematologic and solid tumors.
• Explain product preparation, administration and adverse event management.
• Educate patient care teams on protocol-driven patient management.
• Document interactions and manage allocated education resources.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, clinical ops and medical teams as needed.
