Job summary

AbbVie Oncology seeks an experienced Oncology Nurse Educator to proactively educate allied health care professionals on therapies, dosing, and disease management across hematologic and solid tumors.

The role is field-based; travel up to 50% within OH and surrounding areas is required. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support education initiatives for patient care teams and surgeons, with a focus on improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, NP, PA or PharmD required.
• 7+ years clinical oncology/hematology experience. Recent clinical Hematology experience required; recent multiple myeloma preferred
• Excellent communication(s), objective setting, influencing, business acumen, analytical and strong presentation skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Educate allied health care clinicians on therapies and dosing.
• Develop a customized educational plan through account dynamics and clinical insights.
• Educate on patient identification and role of approved therapies for hematologic and solid tumors.
• Explain preparation, administration, adverse event mitigation and monitoring.
• Present education to patient care teams and at meetings.
• Collaborate across internal functions (sales, marketing, medical, etc.).
• Document interactions and manage allocated resources.
