Job summary

New England Cancer Specialists seeks a full-time Medical Assistant Supervisor to lead Westbrook clinic teams. You will supervise Medical Assistants, coordinate scheduling, training, and performance while ensuring efficient clinic operations and excellent patient care.

The role requires a Medical Assistant program graduation, an MA credential within 90 days of hire, and 3–5 years in an outpatient setting, preferably oncology.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Associates Degree in a credentialed Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Three to five years experience in an outpatient clinic required; oncology experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy and injection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Medical Assistants, including staffing, performance evaluations, scheduling, and issue resolution to improve clinic flow and patient experience.
• Organize training for new hires and ensure completion of required paperwork.
• Schedule Medical Assistants to meet clinic demand and cover gaps as needed, including float coverage.
• Monitor staff performance and counsel as necessary.
• Meet with Clinic leadership to address personnel and administrative issues.
• Perform administrative duties including scheduling, timecards, PTO, and protocol updates.
• Coordinate ongoing education for Clinical staff with Clinic Director.
• Room patients, record vitals, review medications and allergies, administer injections, draw blood, and perform EKGs.
