New England Cancer Specialists in Maine seeks a full-time Medical Assistant Supervisor to oversee daily clinic operations, coordinating with Nurse Supervisors and Clinic Director. The role ensures staffing, training, and coverage to maintain efficient flow and high-quality patient care.

The MA Supervisor leads by example, handles performance management, routes scheduling, and assists with patient care tasks when needed, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and administering

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Associate degree in Medical Assistant or credentialed program preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in an outpatient clinic, oncology experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy and injection administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Medical Assistants, including staffing, performance management, scheduling, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Nurse Supervisors and Clinic Director to ensure clinic efficiency and patient care quality.
• Schedule Medical Assistants to meet clinic demand and reassign staff to cover gaps or absences.
• Perform supervisory duties while also stepping in for patient care tasks as needed.
• Lead by example and support ongoing education for clinical staff.
