Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our Oncology Clinic in Worcester. The role includes patient transport, vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and coordinating care with clinicians.

Required are a High School Diploma, BLS certification, and a MA credential. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30, full-time with potential signing bonus eligibility discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS or Heart Saver certification from AHA; obtain within 3 months if not available at hire.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, POC tests per clinic standards.
• May prepare, document, and administer injections within scope of practice.
• Assist in routine physical examination or clinical procedures.
• Review lab results and promptly inform physicians of abnormal results.
