Job summary

Care New England is seeking an Oncology Medical Assistant to support both clinical and office functions within the department. The role involves direct patient contact, maintaining office systems, and assisting in clinical procedures, while providing clerical support to staff.

The position requires teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment and a commitment to patient confidentiality. Applicants should be graduates of high school with CMA certification and CPR, plus 3–5 years of experience

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and certified medical assistant.
• CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and transcription.

• Ability to work with terminally ill patients.
• English proficiency and flexibility for weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in clinical care and assessment as part of the team.
• Assists with direct patient care with discretion.
• Provides clinical support to patients and staff.
• Provides office support including typing, scheduling and forms processing.
• Monitors clinical equipment and supplies.
• Protects patient confidentiality and rights.
• Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.
