Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Levine Cancer: Rock Hill clinic. The role supports patient intake, vitals, history taking, screenings, and prepares for provider visits in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, performing CLIA-waived labs, vaccinating, and coordinating referrals and scheduling. Must maintain competencies and effective communication within the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training in lieu of MA program.
• IL/WI divisions require High School Diploma or GED and an accredited/approved MA program or 2 years MA experience in last 5 years.
• Wake Forest: High School Diploma or GED; MA program completion or equivalent.
• Floyd & Navicent: High School Diploma or GED; MA program completion or 2 years MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations.
• Cross trains within specialty/clinic.
• Maintains clean work environment and equipment.
