Job summary

Atrium Health in Rock Hill, SC is hiring a Medical Assistant to support the Levine Cancer clinic. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8a-5p, with a base pay range of $21.85–$32.80 per hour.

You will perform patient intake, vital signs, basic lab tasks, immunizations, and assist clinicians in a busy outpatient setting. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and BLS if required by location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• 2 years of verifiable full-time Medical Assistant experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, CLIA waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines per safety protocols.
• Handles refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals as needed.
• Cross-trained for related duties within department scope.
• Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and stocked.
