Job summary

Baptist Health’s BHMG Oncology in Corbin, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and clinic operations on-site. You will obtain vitals, document history, and assist with procedures while coordinating medication requests and tests using EPIC EMR.

Applicants should have MA training and hands-on clinical experience, plus BLS within 90 days and BAT/DOT certifications within 90 days. Sign-on bonus is available for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year MA experience with direct patient care.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on patient experience.
• Clinical competency assessment and MA orientation required.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• BLS from American Heart Association within 90 days.
• BAT and DOT certifications within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, reconcile meds, collect patient history, and facilitate patient flow.
• Manage EPIC EMR, schedule appointments, process med requests, and coordinate tests.
• May perform EKGs, lab tests, injections, or phlebotomy after competency.
