Job summary

BHMG Family Medicine Corbin, KY seeks a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include vitals, medications reconciliation, patient history, and facilitating patient flow. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year MA experience or completion of an MA training program, and EMR experience. BLS within 90 days; BAT/DOT certifications for occupational medicine may be required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year MA experience in a medical office/clinic.
• Graduation from an accredited MA program with hands-on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and document patient history.
• Reconcile medications and assist with medication requests.
• Coordinate patient flow and scheduling.
• Perform EMR-related tasks and order entries.
• Assist with EKGs, phlebotomy, injections when competent.
• Handle prior authorizations and test coordination.
