Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office/clinic, with direct patient care and procedures.
• Graduate of an accredited MA training program with hands-on patient experience.
• Clinician orientation and possible trainee program for those not meeting standards.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience a plus.
• BLS from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• BAT and DOT certifications required within 90 days of hire for Occupational Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and reconcile medications; collect patient history.
• Assist with scheduling, EPIC EMR tasks, and coordinating tests and procedures.
• Perform EKGs, lab tests, injections, and phlebotomy as competency allows.
• Support providers with clinical flow and patient communication.
• On-site presence required to perform essential job functions.

Education
