Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for our outpatient clinic in Kentucky. The role emphasizes direct patient care, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and efficient patient flow, with on-site responsibilities and EPIC EHR support.

Applicants must have 1+ year MA experience or graduate from an accredited MA program, with BLS and BAT/DOT certifications due within 90 days. A retention bonus is available for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1+ year MA experience.
• Direct, hands-on patient care in a clinic setting.
• EMR system experience; EPIC preferred.
• BLS from the American Heart Association within 90 days.
• BAT and DOT certifications required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document patient history.
• Reconcile medications and coordinate tests.
• Schedule appointments and manage prior authorizations.
• Support EPIC electronic health records and patient flow.
• Perform injections or phlebotomy as competency allows.
