Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital in Glenview is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant (30 hours/week) to support oncology services. You will facilitate patient flow, assist with procedures, and maintain exam rooms and inventory in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid MA certification with a plan to obtain one of the recognized credentials within six months, BLS, and 0–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification in one of the following: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA.
• Must obtain one of the listed certifications within six months of employment.
• AHA BLS/CPR certification required.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow by escorting patients, obtaining vitals, documenting visit details, and preparing exam rooms.
• Assist practitioners with procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, CLIA-waived testing) as directed.
• Maintain exam rooms, inventory, sterilization, and environmental safety.
• Interact with patients professionally to support satisfaction and confidentiality.
• Perform delegated procedures in the specialty area as applicable.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
