Qualifications

• Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Within six months of employment, complete one of CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA certifications or provide proof of eligibility.
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow by escorting to exam room and preparing patient for examination.
• Assist with medical and surgical procedures per protocols (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, etc.).
• Prepare, stock, disinfect and maintain exam rooms and equipment; monitor vaccine/medication inventory.
• Interact with patients in a professional, friendly manner to promote satisfaction and confidentiality.
• Perform delegated procedures common to the specialty area safely and efficiently.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
