Job summary

St. Charles Health System in Bend, OR is seeking a Medical Assistant to support busy clinics across specialties including oncology. The MA will manage patient flow, prepare exam rooms, document medical data, and assist clinicians with routine procedures while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and MA certification from AMT/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/NHA or Oregon EMT/RN/LPN. Travel to other sites may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current MA certification from AMT/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/NHA or Oregon EMT/LPN/RN required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily patient flow for assigned physician.
• Record and maintain patient medical data in charts.
• Answer phone requests and assist physicians and staff.
• Perform physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical procedures (excluding IV meds).
• Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; support Lean and safety initiatives.
