Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient flow across multiple specialties within the Bend area.

You will triage, collect information, prepare exam rooms, and assist clinicians with procedures while upholding HIPAA and patient confidentiality. Required: High school diploma or GED; current MA certification from AMT/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/NHA or Oregon EMT/LPN/RN; BLS certification; knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS; experience with medical practice management systems

Qualifications

• Requires a High school diploma or GED; CMA/MA certification from AMT/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/NHA or Oregon EMT/LPN/RN license; BLS CPR certification.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions.
• Proficiency with medical practice management systems; maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for physician assessment.
• Record and maintain patient medical data; assist with phone requests and physician-initiated procedures.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventories; support Lean and continuous improvement efforts.
