Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our patient-centered care team. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct patient care, prepare for exams, assist during treatments, document in the medical record, and educate patients and families.

This role may float between Cobb Hospital sites as needed, with strong clinical skills in oncology, ambulatory or outpatient settings preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• LPN licensure required and active.
• Experience in oncology, ambulatory, or outpatient setting preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN supervision following nursing process.
• Prepares patients for exams and assists during treatments.
• Coordinates tests and follow-up care; documents treatment in medical records.
• Educates patients and families; participates in staff meetings and education.
• May act as a preceptor for newly hired LPN colleagues.
• Coordinates care with RN and other team members; adheres to regulatory guidelines.
• Performs duties with attention to safety and patient-centered care.
