Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an LPN to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in Cobb Hospital and nearby sites. The role includes coordinating tests, preparing patients for exams, and delivering patient and family education.

You will participate in staff meetings, pursue continued education, and may act as a preceptor for new LPNs. Local travel within 35 miles is required, with a focus on oncology and ambulatory care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• LPN license required; BLS certification required upon hire.
• Oncology/outpatient care experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and time management skills.
• Reliable transportation and Georgia driver’s license; scheduling flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision following physician orders.
• Assist with treatments, tests and patient education while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Coordinate care with the RN and healthcare team; communicate changes in patient condition.
• Attend meetings and continue education; participate in staff development and policy adherence.
• Serve as a preceptor as needed and float between Cobb Hospital areas within 35 miles.
